Richmond fits the bill |
| When, at short notice, circumstances conspired to prevent Stuart Mowbray attending Garstang Masonic Hall for the latest meeting of Scorton Mark Lodge No 1103 it left the lodge with a bit of a problem. Stuart is not only the lodge director of ceremonies, but was scheduled on the evening to deliver his own paper “The Order of Royal Ark Mariner.” |

| Assistant D.C. Martin Swarbrick moved up a rung to supervise proceedings. He noticed he had a vacancy in his team which resulted in Darren Stainton the WM of the Furness Mark Lodge being “volunteered” to act as junior overseer. |
| The lodge was then left with the quandary of who should replace Stuart in presenting the lecture, a copy of his paper being to hand. Up stepped WM Bill Richmond who quite appropriately is also the present Worshipful Commander of Preston RAM Lodge which meets at Garstang. It can be reported that Bill delivered the work with great aplomb and it was very well received. |

| Opportunity was also taken to remind the brethren of the Magic of the Mark presentation and provide them with the associated leaflets for the information of themselves and potential candidates. |
